Cassper Nyovest bags entertainer of the year at the GQ Men of The Year Awards 2022

Cape Town – South African rapper Cassper Nyovest was awarded the entertainer of the year at the fourth annual GQ Men of The Year Awards which took place at The Leonardo, in Sandton Johannesburg on December 10, 2022.

The owner of Billiato said that he had been desiring an award from GQ.

“God did!” he said in an Instagram post.

“I been wanting a nod from GQ foreal.”

Another standout at the GQ awards was actress, Connie Chiume who walked away with her third lifetime achievement award for 2022 after winning the Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège Lifetime Achievement Award.

“3rd Lifetime Award this year!” she wrote on Instagram thanking those who were involved in awarding it to her.

Zakes Bantwini was crowned musician of the year but was unable to attend the event so his award was collected by his wife on his behalf.

A delighted Bantwini took to Instagram to express his delight.

“Fam, we won @gqsouthafrica Musician of the Year and here’s my beautiful wife accepting the award on my behalf,” he wrote.

“This awards means a lot to me especially because it affirms the contribution I’ve made in the music industry, thank you GQ.”

He thanked everyone who has been involved in his career including his team, his agency, his family friends and gave the biggest thanks to his wife.

“I want to thank my beautiful wife @nandi_madida for all the sacrifices she’s made for our family and allowing me to take all the risks and supporting me all the way!

“I am truly blessed to have her in my life, going out of your way yesterday to sacrifice and collect that award for me. I don’t know how you do this mom, wife, business women, musician, actor, MC, speaker and all round human being thing while still looking this exquisite.

“I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY LOVE,” he wrote.
