Cat Mom Hilariously Explains the Downside of Turning Medicine Time Into Treat Time

In the cat's defense, pills can look very similar!

For many pet parents, convincing their fur babies to take medication is no walk in the park. TikTok user and cat owner @neutralmilkpastel wouldn't know what that's like, though! Her orange tabby cat, Hank, has no issue at all taking his daily pill.

As nice as that sounds, there's a bit of a downside to having a medication-loving cat. Hank's owner had originally reframed pill time as 'treat time' to help him get used to it, but, as you'll see, that plan backfired!

LMAO! We suppose a lot of pills look the same, so we don't blame this cat for assuming it was for him. Still, it was pretty darn funny to see!

Commenter @echo.enjoyer wrote, "Hank looks so patient like, 'for me? Why you shouldn't have!'" Aww, that's so true. As excited as he is for the 'treat' he thinks he's getting, he's also being very patient and polite. No wonder @soraspigeon got over 14 thousand likes on their comment that said, "Hank [is] such a cutie." He really is!

"That's how my dog is," shared @rustyt00th. "I pull out my Lexapro and she thinks she's getting heart pills wrapped in salami." Haha--we can practically see how that goes! Begging is just a part of being a dog, but we still can't get over how badly a cat wants his medication.

"My man Hank got the spirit," @hitmonstahp said. "He's a little confused, but he got the spirit." Exactly! His mama's plan to help him get used to pills definitely worked, but we bet even she didn't think it would work this well.
