Come for the clay and stay for the vibe at Baikt Ceramics

There’s a certain primal enjoyment that comes with working with clay and getting our hands dirty. Mix that together with our love for making memories and strengthening connections with loved ones and we have the ultimate recipe for an all-round good time.

So the next time you’re looking for something fun and creative to do with family, friends, and/or your significant other, why not get baikt together at Baikt Ceramics?

Their motto? Come for the clay, stay for the vibe. Simple, and true on all accounts.

Baikt Ceramics is a Cape Town-based pottery studio in Sea Point founded by Mike Jacobs-Brits. The studio specialises in innovative homeware for the interior design space which you can purchase from their online store.

But rather than a mere product, Mike believes that ceramics should be seen as an experience.

“A friend once told me that there’s an energy transfer in the art of making. Every feeling, emotion, and state of being gets transferred into your art, and that stuck with me – I want my pieces to make others as happy as they make me during and after the process.”

Thus began a series of workshops, classes, and events for you and I to get down to it, dirtying our hands, feeling the good vibes, and getting an intimate experience of exactly what Mike and his friend was talking about.
