Cultish to honour AKA, Costa Titch

Cape Town — Pop culture brand Cultish has announced a limited edition tribute to South African musicians AKA and Costa Titch, who both died this year.

AKA was shot outside Wish Restaurant in Durban on 10 February and less than a month later, Costa Titch collapsed on stage at Ultra in Johannesburg on 11 March. The controversial circumstances around both deaths mean investigations are currently underway.

In a touching tribute to the two stars, Cultish announced that they will be dropping new limited edition AKA and Costa Titch tribute merchandise.

“Join us for a special celebration for AKA and Costa Titch as part of the launch of the new Cultish® Flagship Store at Rosebank Mall in Johannesburg.

AKA’s brand manager Mahlatse “Zazboy” Sethole shared the posts to his Instagram account and he wrote a lengthy statement, honouring the new tribute and what AKA and Costa Titch did for music

“This special piece embodies the essence of our collaboration and serves as a celebration of AKA’s artistic journey. With every stitch and design element, this tribute garment represents the fusion of two creative forces that inspired countless individuals.”

“Together, let us remember and celebrate the life of an extraordinary artist whose influence will continue to resonate with us for generations to come,” he continued.

He then added a special message for Costa, saying he left a big hole in the music industry and that his kind spirit led many to believe in themselves, saying that his passion for music and fashion was reflected in his work.

The proceeds from the limited edition tribute collection will be donated to the Forbes and Tsobanoglou families.
