The Department of Energy has published official petrol and diesel price changes for December, which will come into effect on 7 December 2022. Here is how much motorists will be paying over the festive season. December

  • 93 unleaded – 59c increase
  • 95 unleaded – 59c increase
  • Diesel 0,05% – R1,57 decrease
  • Diesel 0,005% – R1,52 decrease
  • Illuminating Paraffin (Wholesale) – 57c decrease
  • Illuminating Paraffin (SMNRP) – 76c decrease
  • LPGAS (Maximum retail price) – 95c increase

The price adjustment is due to an increase in retail and wholesale margins as well as an increase in the slate levy.
