Delta Airlines launches Cape Town – Atlanta direct route

The wait is over, Delta Airlines has officially launched the nonstop Cape Town to Atlanta direct route.

Delta Airlines is one of multiple airline companies that have launched direct travel straight from Cape Town.

This is one of the boosts that the city needs on its way to economic recovery post-pandemic.

An official event took place on 29 November 2022 and the flight resumed service on 1 December 2022.

Also in attendance was the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, James Vos, who has been one of the most vocal politicians to advocate for investment in Cape Town.

“I’m celebrating with the crew at Delta Airlines, the arrival of the much-anticipated flight between Atlanta and Cape Town. It will open up the North American market for more travel and trade opportunities,” said Vos.
