Eskom releases loadshedding schedule for remainder of the week

South Africans are enjoying a brief respite from loadshedding as Eskom suspends power cuts until Friday, 4pm.

Eskom said due to consistent improvement in available generation capacity and the lower demand, as well as sufficient emergency reserves, loadshedding will remain suspended until Friday, 29 December at 4pm. Subsequent communication, including an updated schedule, will be shared thereafter.

The power utility said it would monitor the power system closely and provide updates in case of any significant changes.
