Cape Town – An elephant died and five people were injured following a freak accident near Gravelotte, Limpopo on Wednesday.

According to ER24 who responded to the incident, the accident occurred on R71 road on Wednesday night.

ER24 said that two vehicles — a white Toyota Hilux and a police van — collided with the elephant.

He said speeding may be the possible cause of the accident, adding that no fatalities were reported.
