The Platinum edition is visually distinguished by the unique chrome-infused grille, the Platinum lettering on the bonnet, the standard Matrix LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, the silk chrome accents and the version-specific Equinox Bronze exterior shade that is available as an option. The Platinum Ranger features practicality attributes like Ford’s new Flexible Rack System that has folding roof racks and a power roller shutter with a soft close tailgate.

Many of the Ranger Platinum’s extras are shared with the related Ford Everest Platinum SUV, including the same chrome exterior trim with a new grille and ‘Platinum’ bonnet badging. The black-painted roof treatment is also available on the Ranger as a no-cost option, giving the new ranger a distinctive look.

Ford Australia president Andrew Birkic said the top-end Ranger was a response to customer requests, “We listened hard to our customers throughout the design and development of the Next Generation Ranger, and in doing so we reinvented the pick-up truck segment,” he said.

Birkic also mentioned, “We’ve seen growth in high-end variants in this segment over recent years, so we challenged ourselves to create a vehicle that provides all of our customer’s wants and needs.” The 2023 Ford Ranger Platinum is currently available to order in Europe, the UK, and Australia with the first deliveries expected in May 2023 while South Africa has no confirmation on whether the snazzy bakkie will make its way to our shores.
