GoDriveIn Movie and Roadhouse in Salt River is the perfect place to gather the kids for a fun night out, get cosy with your best buddies or slip away for a romantic date night with your significant other.
It took an entire pandemic to remind us that we don’t always need big crowds to have fun together (perhaps us introverts were onto something), but at long last, drive-in cinema culture had made its comeback and now it’s here to stay.
With a capacity of around 50 cars, this intimate drive-in experience showcases both classic and popular movies on a 9-metre screen two nights a week, every Friday and Saturday.
The best part is that the sound is broadcast directly into your car via FM radios, just like in the old days.
After coming early to secure your ideal movie-watching spot, play some retro arcade games, shoot some pool or dig into gourmet greasy treats like the burgers, tacos, rolls and nachos from the halaal-friendly roadhouse, ElGreeyo, or the epic street food from the resident food trucks to complete the ultimate drive-in vibe.
Let’s be honest, no movie night is complete without some snacks and GoDriveIn clearly agrees. Moviegoers are treated to a snack bar that is stocked with popcorn, cold drinks, chocolates and sweets.
Enjoy all of this while sitting in the comfort of your own car, surrounded by fellow film aficionados from a cosy distance, in front of the big screen.
