A generating unit each at Kendal, Grootvlei, and Tutuka power stations were taken offline for repairs since Wednesday afternoon. Four units at Camden power station have also been taken offline to repair a water leak that supplies auxiliary cooling water.
This is in addition to the three units at Kusile power station that were taken offline due to chimney system repairs.
Eskom currently has 6000 MW on planned maintenance, while another 14 160 MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns.
If any significant changes occur, Eskom will publish further updates.
