Cape Town — South African music star Babes Wodumo is still coming to terms with the death of her husband Mandla Maphumulo, better known as Mampintsha.
Mampintsha died on 24 December 2022 after he suffered a stroke and Babes has been suffering badly, trying to deal with the big loss in her life.
However, she was able to share a heartwarming moment with her fans and followers.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a video of SABC Sport doing a tribute to the fallen star.
“As I’m about to leave for my gigs then @sabcsport sends a tribute with @mampintsha_shimora with all the legends of the world this must be a sign ,” she wrote.
According to TimesLIVE, the couple were supposed to celebrate their white wedding on season 3 of Uthando Lodumo but instead it showed Mampintsha’s funeral.
“We were separated by death. God took away what I loved most,” she said.
Babes got candid about whether she’d start dating again, saying she’s prefer a white man who did not talk as much.
She also said her main priority now was to focus on the rollout of Mampintsha’s Original Shandis Gin and releasing music.
“After Mampintsha’s death I was trying to get back on my feet. I’m trying to understand everything but I will be launching everything in due time.”
