Mule Who Still Has Faiths in Humans After Being Severely Neglected Tugs at the Heartstrings

Everyone is hoping he will start to heal.

Colby’s Crew Rescue, known on TikTok as @ohkaytacos, is a nonprofit that focuses on saving horses through rehabilitation, veterinary care, training and eventual adoption. One of the nonprofit’s most recent rescues is a mule named D’Sean. This poor baby is one of the saddest cases this rescue center has ever taken on.

D’Sean used to be an Amish logging mule, but he was not cared for properly by his prior owners. That led to a hoof infection and when he could no longer pull, they dumped him at the auction. Luckily, he has this rescue and Seth, who is putting in the effort to save his hoof. Grab a tissue for this video, you’ll need it.

Ugh, our hearts are breaking for D’Sean. We can’t believe anyone would dump this sweet angel at an auction. If only his previous owners took care of him properly, then he wouldn't have to deal with this insane infection.

“Poor D’Sean looks confused by Seth’s kindness. He’s not used to men being him to him,” wrote @greeneyedlizzie. He was probably so terrified because he’s never known kindness before. But we think he learned very quickly that they’re all just trying to help him. They love and care for him too.

Another TikTok user, @txbribri, said, “His eyes look so sad. Looks like a cuddle bug. I just want to love on him. Poor baby.” Right?! We just want to give him the biggest hug and let him know that he’s safe now. This rescue is never going to let anything bad happen to him again. @silviedreamy added, “Aw, poor sweet soul. I hope he recovers soon!” We all hope that! Sending him positive vibes for a painless and speedy recovery.
