Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, a South African actress and television personality best known for her roles on e.tv’s “Scandal” and “Broken Vows”, has won an “Actress of the Year” award.
Ben-Mazwi was nominated for the “Actress of the Year” category in the VN Global Awards, alongside two other South Africans, Rosemary Zimu and Khosi Ngema.
And Ben-Mazwi won. The actress thanked her fans via Instagram.

“We can now add ‘Actress of the Year’ to the titles I’ve been blessed with this past month. And that is all thanks to YOU and my clan that is my family,” she says in the post.
“To God be the glory for all that He has done and is about to still do.”
Although Ben-Mazwi could not physically attend the awards, which took place in Cape Town, she was able to present an acceptance speech via video.
“Thank you to every single person who has held me down, but most importantly, thank you to you the audience. Your votes, your support, every smile, every word of affirmation, every DM, every tweet,” she said.
“You guys are the reason I do what I do to change the lives and to reach you.”
Ben-Mazwi expressed her gratitude for every production she has ever worked on.
Speaking to Drum, Ben-Mazwi says: “I am looking forward to bigger and bigger awards. The global stage awaits, it’s time.”
