Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep 

A powerful continuation of OMEGA’s diving legacy 

In 2019, the very first Omega Ultra Deep watches made history when they reached the deepest place on Planet Earth. In 2022, Omega transformed the technology that made the dive possible into a game-changing 6,000m collection available to the public. The 45.5mm models with high-performance materials and patent-pending designs represent the very pinnacle of OMEGA’s dive watch legacy. 

90 Years Under Water 

A true pioneer in the maritime field, OMEGA’s ocean story began with the “OMEGA Marine” in 1932. This was the world’s first divers’ watch available to civilian divers. The superb water-resistance of that timepiece became sought-after by ambitious explorers and paved the way for OMEGA’s diving future. This watch featured a clever double case design.

With the release of the very first Seamaster in 1948, OMEGA’s passion for the sea reignited. This lead to the launch of the Seamaster 300 in 1957 – OMEGA’s first professional divers’ watch. Many legendary OMEGA dive watches have followed since then. For example, the distinctive Seamaster 600M “Ploprof” and the Seamaster 1000 for major explorations. Commander James Bond wore the popular Seamaster Diver 300M since 1995.

The Original Omega Ultra Deep 

As a consolidation of OMEGA’s impressive ocean experience, the original Omega Ultra Deep arrived in 2019. To survive the toughest conditions, the forward-thinking watch obviously included indestructible features. For example, the case was completely machined out of forged grade 5 titanium. The “Manta lugs” were also incredibly robust and provided an innovative way of securing the watch. The sapphire face sports a conical load-bearing design inspired by a submersible’s viewport. 

In April of that year, three Omega Ultra Deep watches joined explorer Victor Vescovo on a mission to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. Originally recorded as 10,925 m (35,843 ft), they later confirmed the depth to be 10,935 m (35,876 ft). This is also the deepest any human or watch has ever dived. Firstly they attached two of the Omega Ultra Deep watches to the submersible’s robotic arm. Another was strapped to a data-gathering unit known as a Lander. Of course, thanks to their ingenious build and design, all three watches completed the 12-hour dive without a problem and surfaced completely unscathed. 

The New Omega Ultra Deep Watch in Titanium 

Taking the next step in state-of-the-art ocean design, 2022 sees the release of seven new models in the Omega Ultra Deep collection. As well as being water-resistant to 6,000 m (20,000 ft), the 45.5 mm range leads with a bold version crafted in sand-blasted forged grade 5 titanium. 

To achieve its unique personality, the watch features a brushed ceramic bezel with a Liquidmetal™ diving scale. This feature, along with the distinctive “Manta Lugs” and streamlined asymmetrical case, are reminiscent of the original Ultra Deep model. They support a striped NATO strap, in cyan and black, made from polyamide yarn, sourced from 100% recycled fishing nets. The strap fixes to the wrist with a loop and buckle in grade 5 Titanium. 

The dial consists of black ceramicised titanium with cyan numerals as well as a blued gradient on the central seconds hand. 

Turning the watch over reveals a grade 5 titanium caseback featuring a black laser-engraved Sonar emblem, as well as the iconic OMEGA Seahorse at its centre. The words “Diver’s watch 6000 m for saturation diving” reaffirm the watch’s adventurous credentials. 

The New Watches in O-MEGASTEEL 

Six models in the Ultra Deep collection boast a build in brand new O-MEGASTEEL. This high-performance stainless steel alloy once again proves OMEGA’s leadership in the production of advanced materials, with qualities that surpass the normal standard. O-MEGASTEEL is notable for its superior strength, whiter colour and incomparable shine. It also offers exceptional resistance to corrosion for a longer-lasting finish. 

Mounted on each O-MEGASTEEL symmetrical case is a ceramic bezel with diving scale, as well as a protuberant and domed sapphire crystal. The latter is neatly bevelled and obviously designed for maximum strength under pressure. A new crown guard integrated into the watch’s case assures protection when deep under water. 

The choices include white or gradient-effect dials, which transition from grey-to-black or blue-to-black, and include a glossy finish as well as 18K white gold hands and indexes. Each piece includes a grade 5 titanium caseback with the same laser-engraved Sonar emblem and wording as the full titanium model. 

Each design is completed by either a rubber strap or an O-MEGASTEEL bracelet. The rubber straps feature a technical diving suit structure on the upper surface, along with an O-MEGASTEEL buckle. The metal bracelets feature OMEGA’s patented extendable foldover rack-and-pusher, with a complementary length adjustment and an extra diver extension – obviously perfect for use around a thick wetsuit. 

Depth Tested and Certified 

Driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, all watches in this collection are Master Chronometer certified at Switzerland’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance. OMEGA’s Ultra Deep passed the ocean test at a depth of 6,269 m (20,567 ft) in the Mariana Trench in 2021. 

The markings “For Saturation Diving” meet the ISO 6425 standard for saturation divers’ watches. They are certified by Switzerland’s independent testing body METAS – a premiere in the watch industry! 

Seamaster Diver 300M

Since its launch in 1993, the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M, has become a firm favourite with adventure seekers all over the world, including a dapper English chap with the code name 007. 

The classic dive watch gets a deep green dial 

The watch that first surfaced in 1993 is back and bolder than ever in 2022, with a wave-pattern dial in a striking shade of green. The 42mm watch in stainless steel also sports a uni-directional rotating bezel with a polished green ceramic ring with Grand-Feu white enamel diving scale. Driving the beautiful new Seamaster Diver 300M with green polished ceramic dial is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8800 with special luxury finish. 

The model highlighted has a polished-brushed stainless steel bracelet, with a new integration to the case, giving the dive watch a dressy feel. However, those wanting a sportier look can choose an integrated green rubber strap.

Seamaster Aqua Terra 

Steel Classics with dials inspired by land and sea 

OMEGA’s 2022 collection is all about colour, with a range of new dial shades that track a smooth transition from Aqua to Terra. Fans can also choose larger sized models in 38mm, with dials in Atlantic blue, Bay green, Sandstone, Saffron and Terracotta. The 34mm editions sport dials in Sea blue, Lagoon green, Sandstone, Shell pink and Lavender. The beautiful new dials, fashioned from brass, are sun-brushed from the centre. They have rhodium-plated hands and indexes on the 38mm models. 18K white gold hands and indexes may adorn 34mm editions. Of course all models are cased in fully polished stainless steel and fixed to the wrist by bracelets. These have been beautifully redesigned with rounded links. Providing the power is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800.

Constellation 41 mm

Launched in 1952 as a tribute to the many precision records OMEGA achieved in the 20th century and beautifully redesigned in 1982, our Constellation continues to shine brightly and grow its considerable fan base. 

All new dials clasped by the famous Constellation claws 

Among the new models for 2022 are star performers in the Constellation family. 41mm models with ceramic bezel rings and beautiful new dials in white, rhodium-grey, gradient-green aas well as burgundy. Materials on offer are stainless steel, stainless steel and 18K yellow gold, and stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ Gold. Ceramic bezels in polished blue, black or brown, display Roman numerals filled with white enamel or OMEGA Ceragold™, obviously depending on the model. All watches have a matching coloured leather strap with rubber lining. OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8900 provides the power. 

The stainless steel model featured has a white ceramic [ZrO2] dial, blue ceramic [ZrO2] bezel and Roman numerals filled with Grand Feu white enamel. A stylish leather strap with rubber lining ensures a comfortable fit. 

Constellation Aventurine 

Swiss-made masterpieces with dials designed by nature 

These extraordinary 29mm models have dials made from natural Aventurine stone, which means no two dials are ever alike. There are twelve new editions, in stainless steel and Sedna™ Gold – or Sedna™ Gold for purists. All have natural Aventurine stone dials in either green, red or blue. Fans can choose between bezels paved with diamonds and bezels engraved with Roman numerals. Replacing the famous Mono-rang bracelet are leather straps in colours to match the dial. The driving force behind the natural dials is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8700 – or 8701 for the all-gold models. 

The examples featured below have diamond set bezels and skeletonised hour and minute hands. Obviously the dial-matching leather straps enhance the elegance of the watches. Providing the power is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8701, visible through the domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. 

Constellation 28mm 

OMEGA’s precision timepiece reveals its softer side 

OMEGA’s beautiful new 28mm additions to the Constellation family feature pastel dials. These are available in a choice of four colours: Blush Rose, Patchouli Blossom, Celestial Blue and, finally, Green Matcha. The subtle new hues also make an appearance on the bezel. To add an extra pop of pastel to the display, OMEGA has matched the engraved Roman numerals to the colours of the dial. All four watches have a case and bracelet in stainless steel and feature hands, indexes and applied elements in 18K white gold. Providing the power is OMEGA’s Calibre 4061, a superb quartz movement that obviously offers unwavering precision. 

All models have a Constellation Observatory medallion stamped on the caseback. The iconic image of an observatory represents the many precision awards won by OMEGA in the 1930s and 40s. This is also surrounded by the sky marked with eight polished symbolic stars.

Speedmaster ’57 Calibre 9906 

A slimmed down ’57 delivers big on performance 

OMEGA’s famous Speedmaster ’57, first introduced in 2013, returns in 2022, with a Master Chronometer upgrade and slimmer profile. The new collection consists of eight new stainless steel models, all powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9906. The use of a manual-winding movement allows for a thinner case and finer bezel. This also gives the new ’57 watches a streamlined look. There’s a “sandwich“ black dial edition with recessed hour markers filled with vintage Super-LumiNova. There are three releases with PVD dials, in blue, green and a new varnished burgundy. The entire collection is presented with stainless steel bracelets or matching coloured leather straps. 

At just 12.99mm, the new ’57 is considerably slimmer than its cousin the Speedmaster Moonwatch 3861 at 13.58mm. Of course, there is always a nod to space history on a Speedmaster. The bracelet on the steel version is inspired by the Apollo 11 tribute launched in 2019. This is equipped with OMEGA’s patented comfort release adjustment system.

Speedmaster Moonwatch – Moonshine™ Gold 

OMEGA’s legendary space watch takes on a lunar glow 

When it comes to case materials, fans of the Moonwatch are already spoiled for choice. There are current collection models in steel, Sedna™ Gold and Canopus Gold™. In 2022, OMEGA is taking lunar inspiration to the next level with two new models in Moonshine™ Gold. One sports a Moonshine™ Gold dial, black ceramic bezel ring and blackened subdials and indexes. Another features a PVD green coated dial and a green ceramic bezel ring. To offer aficionados even greater choice, OMEGA is offering two ways to fix their Moonshine™ Gold Moonwatch to the wrist. This is available in either a matching bracelet or strap. Powering all new models is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. 

As shown, OMEGA is offering the watch on a polished and brushed 18K Moonshine™ Gold bracelet. It is also available with an integrated black rubber strap with lunar surface texture on the back and 18K Moonshine™ Gold foldover clasp.
