A Thai army commander has asked for three more days to complete the rescue mission.
"I ask for three for days and all the Wild Boar team will come out," he says.
A Thai army deputy commander says today's operation went "smoothly" but warns the next phase "will depend on all conditions".
The cave operation has ended for the day, according to reports.
