Whether it’s pizza, sushi, dim sum or a harvest table, it’s an evening where you are guaranteed not to go home hungry once it’s time to head back home again. So when RBG Bar & Grill came calling and asked us to review their all you can eat ribs special, we didn’t have to think about it for too long.
Every Tuesday you can enjoy “all you can eat ribs” for only R300 per person from 12 – 8 pm.
With any restaurant in town, parking can sometimes be a little tricky but with the restaurant conveniently located at Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town, Foreshore, there is plenty of space in front that is assigned to the hotel, while there are even more parking spots at the back for hotel guests which you are also welcome to use. Free and secure parking always gets a sign of approval from me which definitely beats driving around for 10 minutes just to finally find an open bay.
Located on the ground floor of Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town, Foreshore, RBG Bar & Grill is a modern eatery where gourmet burgers and signature grills are just a few of the offerings on an extensive menu. You can appreciate a chic yet inviting ambience, which is perfect for savouring a delicious meal for dinner, fresh salad for lunch or just a coffee during your next business meeting. The restaurant lends itself to any occasion. Open all-day, it makes RBG Bar & Grill a convenient option for breakfast, lunch or dinner when you are out and about in the inner city.
As our first plate of ribs arrived, I already noticed that these are not small portions by any stretch of the imagination. Each plate comes with a big portion of ribs and a good helping of chips and onion rings to add. As the night goes on, you can order plater after plate all the way until 8 pm.
The ribs are coated in a thick BBQ basting giving them plenty of flavour. Skip the forks and knives and be prepared to get hands on. Getting messy is half the fun, isn’t it? No one is going to judge you either. These sticky, sweet, fall-off-the-bone ribs are guaranteed to make your heart beat that little bit faster – it won’t take you long before you ask for the next plate.
The table next to us was on their fourth helping and looked like they were about to ask for another as we were leaving. They definitely got their moneys’ worth and hopefully got a medal as well for their accomplishment. But for any mere mortal, if you have confidence that you can finish two or three plates, you’ll be getting really good value with this ‘all you can eat’ promotion.
After your meal, we recommend taking the lift up to the 11th floor to check out their incredible roof top bar to wind down the evening with one of the best views of Table Mountain. Ask the barman about any drink specials as they are often running promotions with local and international brands.
We had a fantastic experience at RBG Bar & Grill and highly recommend checking out their all you can eat ribs special every Tuesday. You’ll have a great time!
