Dogs, cats, and kids tend to be the most common culprits when holiday decor starts to go missing, but that wasn't the case this time around. When wildlife rehabilitation specialist @beaverbabyfurrylove noticed someone dragging her gift wrap toward the bathtub, she wasn't surprised to catch her beaver red-handed. Yep--the rodent was about to hop into the water with the gift wrap still in his mouth!

This rescuer is used to having beavers around while they heal and rest up, but it's still bittersweet to know that the dude from this video, Beave, isn't with her anymore. He's probably stealing things to drag to his den in the wild!

Oh, Beave! We love how naturally this guy follows his instincts, but his foster mama's reaction is even better. She just has a good laugh despite nearly losing her holiday gift wrap. She caught up to him in the nick of time, too!

"Remembering when he took the little red chair across the room," @hollandmom3 said in the comments. "That Beaver got me through the Pandemic. Miss him, but he is where he is supposed to be." You're so right! As much as this rescuer and her followers may miss him, it's also rewarding AF to know that the love and care got him back to where he's supposed to be.

"I still imagine that somewhere near you is a damn with plungers and rugs and sparkly things sticking out of it," said @justtheoned. "Beave got me through some dark days!" It sounds like you may have gotten him through some tough times, too.
