Robben Island offers a complimentary ticket for one child under 18 with every paying adult on the sunset family cruise.
The sunset tour special will run from 15 December 2022 until 15 January 2023, Monday to Sunday at 5pm, and only applies to South African citizens.
Robben Island Museum (RIM) Marketing and Tourism Senior Manager, Siphuxolo Mazwi, said, “As South Africans from the rest of the country prepare to travel to Cape Town, we are cognisant of limited disposable income and a preference for holiday activities that offer value for money. To this end, and in pursuit of our commitment to make RIM more accessible to locals, it allows us the opportunity to give more people access to an awe-inspiring visit to this iconic World Heritage Site, that prioritises a connection with our public and cultural heritage.”
A trip to Robben Island is the perfect opportunity for families to experience a day out, offering much more than just a fun trip but an educational experience in history and heritage and world-class marine conservation.
