Shaky ceasefire enters second day as Sudanese, foreigners flee
A US-brokered ceasefire between Sudan's warring generals entered its second day Wednesday but remained fragile after witnesses reported fresh air strikes and paramilitaries claimed to have seized a major oil refinery. As combat eased, foreign governments organised civilian evacuations. Around 245 French and foreign nationals evacuated from Sudan landed in Paris Wednesday on a plane chartered by French authorities.
