One of the larger offerings from the Barcelona-based automaker’s fleet, the five-seater Cupra Tavascan’s dimensions are nearly identical to the Mercedes EQB. Proudly displaying its crests in the front and rear of the Tavascan, its exterior is characterised by pronounced body lines, coast-to-coast tail and headlight elements, a slopped roofline and an unmistakable scowl. Curtailing the shapely SUV’s physique are 21-inch alloy wheels.

The interior is purposed to echo the exterior’s demeanour. Micro-fibre and metal elements are strewn throughout the car’s cabin, with the 15-inch central display and Dark Ice Metal finished y-bone console positoned as key elements in the SUV’s interior.

The Tavascan model has two distinct variants namely: the Tavascan Endurance and the Tavascan VZ. Although each are gifted with a slew of differentiating features, there are some commonalities between the two. Both SUVs are equipped with a single-speed transmission and 77 kw/h lithium-ion battery. Interestingly, Cupra claims that the Tavascan models can regain roughly 100km of driving range after charging for only seven minutes.
The Endurance is positioned as the base model for the Tavascan range. Powered by a single electric motor delivering 210 kW and 545 N.m to the rear wheels, this model is purposed as a gentler and less performance-oriented iteration of the Tavascan range. Other quirks include a 6,8 second 0 to 100km/h sprint time and a 547km driving range.

The Tavascan VZ builds on its sibling’s grunt by introducing a secondary electric motor that delivers the combined 250 kW to all four wheels allowing for a slightly faster 0 to 100 km/h sprint time ( 5,6 seconds) than the Endurance variant.
