Cape Town – Lynn Forbes is still in mourning after the shocking murder of her son, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes who was better known by his stage name AKA.
Lynn took to Instagram to share a picture in which she stood next to her son’s open casket, saying she is still picking up the pieces and that each day she wakes up and remembers that her son is no longer with her.
“Oh my heart … The last two weeks have been surreal, more specifically the mornings. Waking up every morning, being reminded that this nightmare will never end, is the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. My heart is shattered into millions of pieces. I love you Kiernan ,” she said.
AKA was tragically killed outside a restaurant in Durban on February 10.
So far, Lynn, AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai, and the mother of his daughter, DJ Zinhle, have all received an overwhelming amount of love and support since his passing.
Police are still investigating the murder.
AKA’s friend and bodyguard, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane was also killed that night.
