The term 'boop' has made its way into modern vocabulary over the last few years, but it's primarily associated with dogs and cats. After all, their little noses are oh-so-boopable. But that doesn't mean that these are the only animals who can learn to tolerate nose touches!

On the contrary-- the TikTok user and bird mama behind @the_green_bird_brigade showed how she's teaching her eclectus parrot, Gideon, to touch his nose to hers. If you ask us, it looks like he's getting the hang of it!

Aww, Gideon! You'll get the hang of it, buddy. You're already a very smart and skilled little bird, and your fans are simply obsessed.

"I love that you can see the wheels turning in his head," said viewer @kittkatt0916. "Good boy!" Now that we think about it, it's pretty darn cool to watch him think through the new command. We watched him make major progress in under one minute!

With progress, though, comes a few setbacks. Gideon was definitely getting his commands confused at first, though we have to admit--it was pretty cute.

@Zesenveertig asked, "How did you teach your bird to show its tongue? I wanna do that too." Isn't it the cutest thing? We have to admit: we'd be resisting the urge to boop his tongue if we saw him do that in person! Even though Gideon's mama hasn't shared her secret yet, we're sure the learning process looked similar to what we see in this video. Repetition and positive reinforcement can make a world of difference!
