Max Verstappen has been warned he will not face a "walk in the
park" at his home race at Zandvoort. F1 returns from its summer
break at the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend with Verstappen aiming
to tie Sebastian Vettel and Alberto Ascari on nine consecutive race
victories in a row. Red Bull is undefeated so far this season
having secured all 12 race victories before the break, as well as
all three Sprint events thus far. But with Verstappen on course for
his third world title and returning to Zandvoort - where he is yet
to experience anything other than a victory in F1 - the circuit's
Sporting Director and former driver Jan Lammers has insisted a win
cannot be guaranteed. "I'm not sure of the expectation that it's
going to be a walk in the park for Max," Lammers told RacingNews365
. Hard work "I don't think it's so obvious that he's going to win
with one hand on the wheel, so to speak," added Lammers. "For Red
Bull, it's still going to be hard work. "It is a circuit with not
such a long straight, while we have seen that there are other cars
that with a different layout of a circuit also have very strong
sides. "This is a circuit that is very specific though, also with
the banked corners, so I'm curious to see how easily they are going
to dominate here. "Of course, they are always the favourites, also
in Zandvoort, but I think there could still be surprises among the
other teams."
