Video of Boxer Searching for Her Newborn Human Sister Is Everything

Clearly she already loves this baby so much.

It's hard to know exactly how a pet is going to react to a new baby in the family. If their reaction is anything like this pup's, though, you'll know that your bundle of joy has a dedicated fur sibling to grow up with. Lucy the Boxer showed so much concern for her newborn human sister that her mom, @hayleyhutchison, had to take a video.

As Lucy looks around the house, her baby sister naps in her crib nearby. If the dog's look of concern isn't enough to melt your heart, her reaction when she spots the baby definitely will!

What a sweetheart! We just adore Lucy's dedication to her newborn sister. Just like commenter @beemabey said, "the 'please help me find her' eyes" are simply heartwrenching. Luckily, Mom was there to help!

Speaking of heartwrenching, many of the commenters thought the video was going to take a very different turn. @Kikokikoshadow admitted, "the sad music made me worried the baby was not there anymore....whew." We had the very same thoughts! Relief doesn't even begin to describe our feelings when Hayley led Lucy to the baby's crib.

"Boxers are known to be protectors of children," said viewer @baebandsaustralia when our babies were born they all got a boxer so they could grow up together. Best friends for life!" If that isn't just the sweetest thing, we don't know what is. Dogs truly are man's best friend!
