Video of Lab Patiently Waiting to Enter Human Brother's Room Is Too Sweet

What a good girl she is!

There are so many reasons why dogs are known as 'man's best friend,' and Shelby the chocolate Labrador is here to remind us of a few. She's loyal, polite, and oh-so-cute! We totally understand why TikTok is buzzing over this sweet girl's patience and devotion.

In an adorable video that her mom posted to the account @cocoathesingletonlab (named after one of her fur siblings), the pup waits outside of her human brother's bedroom door. She's ready to come in and take a nap--but he hasn't answered the door yet!

What a precious girl! We just adore Shelby's patience and devotion to her brother--even if he takes forever to answer the door. Kudos to mom for politely stepping in!

"Shelby is a cutie but I love how you knocked on his door instead of just opening it," wrote commenter @misspepperjack. Exactly! A little respect goes a long way around the house, and it's as easy as a knock on the door. Even Shelby waits before entering the room!

"She’s so polite," agreed @nikfrmknox. "We have lever door handles like that and our boxers just let themselves in wherever they please." LOL! As entertaining as that sounds, we can see how that leads to some surprising situations. Whether a dog opens the door by themselves or waits for a helping hand, they usually get to where they want to go. It's just like @barbosababe65 said, "they really do run our lives, don’t they?" Yes, they most certainly do. And we wouldn't have it any other way!
