Cape Town – Ayanda Allie is looking to add another skill to her already-impressive CV as she expressed her interest in becoming a singer and venturing into music.
Allie has worked as a news anchor and as spokesperson for Fikile Mbalula while he was the Minister of Transport, according to TimesLIVE.
Allie has been working on this for a while, saying life is too short to not do the things you want to. She took to Instagram to post an audio snippet of her song from her new album, called “We the People”, that’s set to be released in March 2023.
“I’m both excited and scared out of my wits! But as we know: “Nothing ventured, nothing gained”. I pray I can count on God’s guidance & your support on this journey. Yours in song, Ms Allie,” she said in the caption.
In another Instagram post, Allie posted a series of throwback pictures of her singing, saying that this is nothing new to her, having sang in her church choir.
“I’ve been singing & writing music for as long as I can remember. Growing up I sang in the church choir, I even featured in two hip hop albums & would sing impromptu at restaurants or events when asked. Now, I figure that life’s too short not to do what you love, so here goes,” she added.
